Remove an event

A live event page can't be deleted due to its public URL, but we can make it invisible to users and in your admin.

Written by Kate Thelwell

Once an event page is published, it may already be indexed by search engines like Google. Removing them entirely could result in broken links such as 404 errors which can negatively impact both your brand’s search visibility and across DesignMyNight. However should you want to remove an event, here are some options to remove your event's exposure.

Update an event to be inactive on DesignMyNight

To stop an event from being visible on DesignMyNight, follow these steps:

⚠️Important: This will remove the event from DesignMyNight search results, but it can still be accessed via a direct URL. You’ll also need to stop ticket sales through Manage Sales and process any refunds if required.

  1. Login to Access Tonic admin.

  2. On your event, click Manage.

  3. Click the event dashboard.

  4. Use the drop-down in the top right to set the event to hidden by clicking Hide Event.

📌 Note: If you believe your event qualifies for deletion or would like to discuss your options further, please get in touch with our team by requesting live chat support via the Access Digital Assistant.

Removing an event from your admin

To stop an event from appearing as upcoming within your event admin, the event date can be amended. To do this:

  1. Login to Access Tonic admin.

  2. On your event, click Manage.

  3. Click Edit Listing & Tickets.

  4. On the event date calendar, deselect upcoming dates or add an end date if it's an recurring event.

  5. Click Save.
