What's new?

We're pleased to announce the latest release of Access Tonic, which includes the updates below.

Location data tracking

We've enhanced our location data tracking for successful payments. This update includes:

  • Storing card country for all payments

  • Capturing postcode information when available (only for payments where it was required, such as the UK)

  • Storing this location data directly on the purchase record

  • Exposing both data points through the purchases report API

This enhancement gives Tonic administrators better visibility into the geographic distribution of ticket purchases, providing valuable insights into your audience demographics.

Ticket type purchase limitation

We've implemented a new feature allowing event organisers to limit customers to purchasing a single ticket type per purchase. We've added a new setting in the Ticket Functionality Options called "Restrict the number of unique ticket types allowed per purchase".

When enabled, this setting limits attendees to purchasing only one type of ticket at a time. Additional ticket types will automatically become unavailable after one is selected. This feature gives you more control over how attendees purchase tickets to your events.

Time slot selection navigation

We've added a back button to the tickets selection page, allowing attendees to easily return to the time slot selection screen. This enhancement improves navigation flexibility during the booking process, letting customers change their mind about their preferred time slot without having to start the booking journey over.

Ticket Widget border enhancement

We've added a border feature to the new ticket widget that uses your selected primary colour. This enhancement:

  • Creates a clear visual boundary around the new ticket widget (ticket widget v2)

  • Makes it immediately obvious where the widget starts and ends on your website

  • Applies automatically when you've set the primary colour in the widget wizard design settings. You can change the primary colour when you select the custom colour theme

  • Works seamlessly in both light and dark themes

This update comes directly in response to your feedback, as we continue to refine and improve the widget's appearance based on real customer experiences.

How to access this update

This release is automatically deployed on Wednesday 12 March 2025 to all our customers along with a package of bug fixes and performance improvements.
