If you have a one-off special event that has been set up as a separate event page, to link this event to the event date calendar on your main ticket page, you can use the Linked Occurrences tool. Once you've set this up, guests can easily view all of your upcoming events from one ticket page.
βNote: The date of the one-off event needs to be different to the dates for the main event.
To set up a linked occurrence, follow the steps below:
From your Access Tonic dashboard, click Manage for the applicable event.
This will be the main event, not the event you want to link.
Select Linked Occurrences.
In the Link a New Occurrence box, select the event to link.
In the pop-up window, choose a date to link.
In Add Button Text, enter any wording you want to display to customers on the linked date.
In Add A Description, enter any wording you want to display when the customer selects the date on the widget.
This is an optional step.
Use the Advanced Features to:
Select an icon: This displays next to the linked occurrence date. The icon only displays on small screens, otherwise, it displays a button with text.
Status: Toggle whether the linked occurrence appears on the widget or is hidden.
Display from: Choose when to start displaying the linked event on the ticket widget.
Display until: Choose when to stop displaying the linked event on the ticket widget.
Add a link: If you are selling tickets for the linked event on your website, you can enter the URL for that page here so the ticket widget redirects to that page rather than the DesignMyNight event page.
Click Save Changes.
Repeat the above steps to set up another linked occurrence, there's no limit to how many events you can link.
β
Once you've completed the above, the linked occurrence displays on the ticket widget under the date you have selected during set-up. When an event attendee clicks on a linked occurrence event, the "Book tickets" button will now seamlessly convert the new widget to the linked occurrence event.
