What's new?
We're pleased to announce the latest release of Access Tonic, which includes the updates below:
Show/Hide Event Preview for Event Brand Widget
We've introduced a new event preview capability and customisation controls for the Event Brand Widget, giving event organisers full control over the customer browsing experience:
Event preview modal is now available in both calendar & list view β clicking on an event card opens a detailed preview displaying event time, title, image gallery, price range, venue, date, and description, matching the existing calendar view experience.
New SHOW/HIDE buttons in Widget Customisation allow event organisers to control whether the event preview modal is displayed when customers click on an event card in calendar or list view.
When set to HIDE, customers are taken directly to the checkout process, reducing the number of steps in the purchase journey.
The option is set to HIDE by default for new widget configurations, streamlining the checkout experience out of the box.
The SHOW/HIDE option is positioned after the list/calendar view selector, in widget customization.
This enhancement gives event organisers the flexibility to tailor the browsing experience to their needs β whether they prefer customers to preview event details before purchasing or proceed directly to checkout for a faster conversion flow.
Brand Widget Description
We've added a new Brand Widget Description field to the Ticket Widget Wizard, allowing event organisers to enrich their Event Brand Widget with custom descriptive text:
A new "Brand Widget Description" text field is available in the Widget Customisation section of the Ticket Widget V2 for each event.
Organisers can enter a short description (recommended 400 characters) that displays when a customer hovers over an event on the Event Brand ticket widget.
This enhancement enables event organisers to provide additional context and promotional messaging directly within their widget, improving customer engagement and helping drive ticket sales.
Venue Address in Search Dropdown
We've improved the venue search experience by displaying the full address alongside venue names in the search dropdown:
When searching for a venue during event creation or editing, the dropdown now displays each venue in the format: "Venue Name - Full Address" (e.g., "The Bear - 123 High Street, London, SW1A 1AA").
Venues without address data continue to display only the venue name, with no separator or empty address shown.
Search functionality remains unchanged β the search matches against venue names only.
Selecting a venue from the dropdown populates the venue name and venue address fields as before.
This improvement resolves a long-standing issue where multiple venues sharing the same name (e.g., "The Bear") were indistinguishable in the search results, eliminating the need for trial and error when selecting the correct venue.
How to access this update
This release is automatically deployed on Friday 13 February 2026 to all our customers along with a package of bug fixes and performance improvements.
