You can upsell items, such as merchandise and drinks packages, during the checkout process. Customers can add these products to their basket and pay for them at the same time as buying their ticket.

Adding products

Follow the steps below to add products to your event:

  1. From your Access Tonic dashboard, click Manage for the applicable event.

  2. Click Edit Listing & Tickets.

  3. Click the Products tab.

  4. Click Sell Products.

  5. Click the cog image.png icon and fill in the below sections:

    • Bundle to ticket: Set the product to only be available with a specific ticket type.

    • On sale from: Add a specific date and time for tickets to automatically come on sale.

    • On sale until: Add a specific date and time for tickets to automatically go off-sale.

    • Photo: Include a photo of the product.

    • Min / max per purchase: Set a minimum or/and maximum that a customer can purchase.

Note: Additional product booking fees are set to the same percentages as tickets by default. You can use the Booking Fee Split bar to partly or fully absorb this fee.

Optional steps after you've created the product:

  • To add text to display in the checkout, click Add Merchandise Message To Checkout.

  • To set an automated time for the product to be taken off sale, click Product Sell Until and set a date.

View purchase information

Once customers have made some purchases, you can view the purchase information in any of the below areas:

  • Event dashboard: Total sales broken down by ticket type and revenue.

  • Reports: Comprehensive product breakdown by; total products, total rep, sales total, discounted products, sold total, revenue net profit.

  • Customer data: Excel spreadsheet breakdown of product type, quantity, product cost, and total cost by customer transaction.

Note: Products carry the same fees as tickets which are 10% on products priced under £39, 8% on products between £40 and £69, and 6% on products over £70. By default, the fee is passed onto the event customer but you have the opportunity to split or absorb the cost if you wish.
