Follow the steps below to reschedule your event to another event date by notifying and moving customers who have already purchased tickets. Once you've moved ticket holders off the original date, you can remove the date from the calendar.
Stop sales for the original date
To prevent further sales for the cancelled date, set the event to Sold Out. This closes off ticket sales, without affecting existing ticket purchases:
From your Access Tonic dashboard, click Manage for the applicable event.
Click Manage Sales.
Click Sold Out by the date to take off sale.
Add the new date
Add the new event date so that you can continue selling tickets for the event and move existing ticket holders across:
Click Edit Listing & Tickets.
On the Event Details tab, scroll to Event Date.
If your event was originally set to Single Date, select Multiple Dates.
Select the new event date in the calendar.
Click Save Changes.
Note: You can't de-select the original date whilst purchases are still stored on it.
Contact ticket holders
Notify the customers who purchased tickets to the original date; offering them a refund or the option to move their purchase to the new date. You can contact the customers directly, or through the Tonic admin:
Click Email Attendees.
In the To field select, Specific Guest List.
Select the original date.
Enter the email subject and message.
Click Send Email.
Move ticket holders to the new date
To move the customer's booking to the new date and reissue the customer with an updated ticket, follow the steps below:
Click Manage Sales, then select Transactions by the original date.
Select a booking, then select Edit Transaction.
Follow the prompts to change the event date.
Select to not put the original ticket allocation back on sale.
Click Save, then click Resend Ticket.
Remove the original event date
Once you've moved all customers off the original date, you can remove it from the event date calendar by following the steps below:
Click Edit Listing & Tickets.
On the Event Details tab, scroll down to Event Date.
Select the original date from the calendar.
Click Save Changes.
